We’re both big admirers of graffiti, street art, public murals and the vibrant people and culture they represent. While our research into Cuenca, Ecuador had educated us to the fact the city is known for its appreciation of the arts, the explosion of color and feeling that awaited us was a truly wonderful surprise.

Some may struggle with equating graffiti with art, but they likely struggle with their sense of sight as well.

Regardless of your opinion of street art, its role in the cultural fabric of the cities of the world is inarguable. In our experiences, the cities with the most beautiful spirits tend to sprout art like weeds.
